Who is Başak Feyzioğlu?
Başak Feyzioğlu founded Libre Studio in 2023. She is a Top Rated product designer on Upwork who has designed web and mobile products since 2020, for more than 10 clients in more than 10 countries.
She came to design from law. She studied law at Koç University in Istanbul, then worked in M&A and as an attorney until 2019. In 2020 she joined Pensa Systems as a business data analyst, preparing data for a computer-vision AI used in retail. The same year she co-authored Data Protection Laws and Regulations in Turkey for ICLG, comparing Turkish law with GDPR. That was her first work in AI, and her first published writing on data rights.
She taught herself design through courses and real projects: a diploma from the UX Design Institute, graphic design training from CalArts, and generative AI certificates from Vanderbilt University. You can find her on LinkedIn.
What have we worked on?
Mostly startups in the UK and the US: AI-native consumer apps, B2B SaaS, dashboards and websites. Başak spent a year with the C-level team of a logistics SaaS company, designing three web products.

We are a small, senior studio. Başak leads every project and brings in senior freelance designers from our network when a project needs more hands. We are fully remote, based in Istanbul (GMT+3), and work with teams worldwide.
AI is part of every step: research synthesis, iterations, documentation and handoff. We work in Figma, Claude Code and Cursor, and we build our own Claude Code skills for audits and reviews. A designer reviews every output and makes every call. AI does the legwork; the decisions stay human. More on that in how we design with AI.
We work with high agency. We ask a lot of questions before we design, we push back when a brief points at the wrong problem, and we own the result through to handoff. Our work covers UI, UX and product design, design engineering, motion design and atomic design systems, so the product, the marketing and the motion grow from one system.
What do we believe?
- Users are tired of AI slop. We use AI everywhere except where they can see it.
- Human in the loop, always. AI never ships work alone.
- Design with intent. Every decision ties to a user problem and a business outcome. Pretty is not a deliverable.
- Built for handoff. Tokens, components and clear names, so developers build without translating.
- No black box. You see our process, our files and the reasons behind each decision.
- The line keeps moving. Tools and user expectations change every month, so we keep learning in public.
